Lakes and Fishing
There are 2 spring-fed lakes, a wildlife lake and a larger fishing lake. They are approx 200 metres from the caravan site, beautiful and tranquil places to fish, just sit or have a stroll.
In the interest of keeping everyone safe, access to the Lake Area is only allowed between the hours of 10am and 5pm, these hours maybe extended but prior approval must be obtained.
Guests are granted the opportunity to fish (catch & release) the beautiful leisure coarse fishing lake which is contains carp, perch, tench, rudd and bream. The lake has 5 pegs/decks in operation and has a depth of 17ft in the main part. This is a private lake and we don’t sell day passes to the public, to ensure the serenity of the site is maintained.
There is an abundance of wildlife including barn owls, woodpeckers and many species of garden birds. Look out for the kingfisher flying across the lake.
No charge is made for fishing, but we do request that you notify us if you are intending to fish at the lake, so that we can record it in our users log, this can be done during your booking process in the extras section.
