Dog friendly pub with a reputation for top quality food. Always a busy venue so bookings are recommended. Just minutes drive, or a good walk.

Black Horse Inn, Main Road, Donington on Bain, LN11 9TJ
Worth going that bit further, lovely food, and a friendly atmosphere. I’d recommend calling in advance to make a booking, especially on Sundays and the first Wednesday lunch of the month, when the local farmers have a bit of a social gathering.  Dog friendly pub in a traditional environment.

Dog friendly pub offering good wholesome locally sourced, fresh, homemade food in a 17th century Inn and real ales. About 10 minutes drive.

This is so much more than a hotel, lovely relaxing atmosphere. With a great restaurant serving fresh, local produce and a bar with locally cask conditioned ales.

Coffee shop, bar and bistro with an Italian twist, with parking. Open every day except Sunday. Serves breakfasts, lunches, home baked cakes and amazing ice creams. Even the cakes cater for gluten and dairy free requirements etc etc. Fabulously friendly staff in a stylish and comfortable atmosphere. With an Al Fresco terrace for those warm summer days they really do offer you the chance to sit back and relax. Dog friendly too. Can you tell this is a firm favourite of ours!

A quaint tea room at the side of the river. Large courtyard area for al fresco eating. Dogs are welcome. Collectables and gifts are also available for sale.

A family run, dog friendly establishment. It has a very comfortable coffee shop and dessert palour, along with its furnitire and interiors shop, which has lots of unusual and lovely items for sale. There is also parking availble opposite.

This lovely bistro is open for eating in or taking away. It has a lovely selection of cakes, and also has a large outdoor seating area.

Air conditioned café offering drinks, breakfasts, lunches and light bites. Situated next to their bakery and delicatessen and offering a lot of their own produce along with locally sourced food.

Small, busy and very friendly.. This characterful tea room has a fantastic display of homemade cakes,and is a popular spot with locals for breakfasts and lunches. 

Evening Entertainment

The Kinema in the Woods is a cinema in the village of Woodhall Spa.  A visit to the Kinema in the Woods can be wonderfully romantic with its quirky charm and 1940s atmosphere but showing the current films of today. Visit the Kinema in the Woods’ website for show times.

The city of Lincoln has entertainment aplenty at a variety of venues which include:
