Grange Farm Holiday Breaks

Our Location

In the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds

Grange Farm stands on 12 acres of land in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds. Many an hour can be spent relaxing, listening and watching the numerous species of birds including barn owls hunting in front of the pitches and kingfishers around the lake.

The owners, Thady & Traci Griffith, acquired this highly accredited site in 2022. The previous owners who ran this amazing site for many years, enabled the changeover to be seamless, and invaluable time spent ensuring their breadth of knowledge of their business was relayed.

Country lanes and pathways provide excellent walks and hacking between villages. A simply spectacular sight is the Tetford Longhorn herd in the nearby fields. These gentle giants are reminiscent of many period drama scenes and are just breathtaking. Cycling is very popular in the wolds, with the available routes taking full advantage of the amazing landscape.

Grange Farm lies 6 miles north-east of Horncastle, 10 miles south of Louth and Tetford village lies to the north-east, a 5 minute walk. The villages of Belchford and Somersby lie to the north-west and south, respectively, and both are a 30 minute walk away. There is a call and connect bus service available to help you get around www.lincsbus.info.

The Poet Laureate Tennyson was born at Somersby and the stream at the bottom of Grange Farm is the babbling brook mentioned in his work. A section of the famous Viking Way runs across Grange Farm and is featured in a 7 mile circular walk produced by Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service titled “In the Footsteps of Roman Legions.” The Bluestone Heath Road on top of the ridge follows the old reindeer route.

Lincoln and Grimsby are each approximately 26 miles away and Market Rasen is around 21 miles away and National Hunt racing takes place at its famous racecourse. On a clear day you can see the coast from our surrounding countryside and a short drive gives you access to over 50 miles of beaches and coastline.

There are many iconic and popular venues within easy reach of Grange Farm. Caldwell Park, Coningsby, Tattershall Castle and Woodhall Spa are all less than a 30 minute drive. Lincolnshire Show Ground, Donnigton Hall, Belton House and Arena U.K. in Grantham are just a little further, being within a 1 hour drive. Burghley House and Belvoir Castle are within 1½ hours drive. These are just a few of the popular local attractions.
