Grange Farm Holiday Breaks

Camping & Dogs

The Caravan & Motorhome Site (CL)

Our 5 hard standing spacious pitches enjoy panoramic views over the gentle rolling hills and countryside. Pitches are available to both self contained caravans and motorhomes from March to October each year. We may be open to bookings outside of the main season and you should email any such enquiries to us directly.

3 pitches have extra large hard standing areas (approx. 10.5m x 6.5m) for the use of large awnings or extra vehicles, if desired. The other 2 pitches are 10.5m long x 4m wide and dependant on your accomodation may be wide enough to accomodate small awnings on the hard standings. Awnings without groundsheets are permitted on the grass areas next to all pitches.

All pitches have 16 amp electric hook-up, fresh water (x2 taps) and grey waste outlet on each pitch. The screened service area on the site has fresh and waste water points, a chemical toilet disposal area and rubbish and recycling area.

We do try to be eco-friendly and encourage the use of eco-friendly products and recycling but do understand this is not always possible.

In 2024, with the exception of electricity hook up, no extra charges will be made for these facilities. Hook up will be charged on a unit used basis at the same rate which we incur, i.e. prices are not inflated. Our 2023 pitch prices have been reduced in 2024 to accommodate this change, which we and our regular site visitors felt a more equitable charging system, giving visitors the ability to choose to be ‘off the grid’, use their leisure and solar batteries and benefit from being energy efficient.  Our electricity charges, which include VAT, have been fixed until 30 September 2024, at 22.73p/kWh.  Please be assured we will be adopting a simplified honesty based method of charging, no need for prepaid meter cards or sophisticated apps.

If you have visited Grange Farm before, we made a few changes in 2023 which have been welcomed by our guests.

-We increased the total area specifically designated to the CL, it now extends to the western edge of the CL site upto the hedge adjoining the public footpath.

-We created a new pedestrian access gate directly onto the public footpath from the CL site.

-We also created a discreet picnic area, away from the caravans, to help you enjoy the site a little bit more.

-At the far end of the CL site, near the footpath, we also added a small, enclosed, off the lead dog exercise area (discussed further below).

We have listened to our guests feedback in 2023 and have made the following changes in 2024

-Off the grid visits are now possible.

-We have reduced our minimum stay from 3 to 2 nights.

Check in is from 12.30pm (latest check in is 9pm) and check out is by midday. Flexibility in these timings may be permitted, contact us by email if you need to vary these times.

New for 2024, we have reduced our minimum stay from 3 to 2 nights, however if available, 1 night stays may be accepted, but such booking can not be accepted more than 14 days prior to your intended arrival, and enquiries should be made by email.

A comprehensive range of walk and information leaflets and maps, together with DVD’s books and games can be found in our information hut. We are always happy to supplement this supply if needed.

Dog Friendly

Being passionate dog owners ourselves, we take pride in offering a dog friendly establishment.

Well behaved dogs are always welcome and upto 2 dogs per pitch are permitted at no additional cost. The number of dogs allowed may be extended on an individual basis, but we reserve the right to charge an additional fee in such circumstances, approval must be obtained in advance by emailing us.

To ensure safety for all, dogs must be walked on their leads around the site.

There is direct access to a public footpath from the site to enjoy those seemingly endless dog walking routes.

In 2023, always wanting to develop our offerings and to meet our 2/4 legged clients needs, we created a small off the lead exercise area, whilst this is fenced, dogs should not be left unsupervised in this area.
